Bets in Show by John Guastaferro
Bets in Show is a powerful card routine with an incredibly hands-off method. There’s no sleight of hand, and you barely touch the cards. Your spectators do the cutting, dealing, and handling while you seemingly just let the magic happen.
The routine begins with a deck of cards and five poker chips. After a quick shuffle, your spectators freely cut the deck in a variety of ways, ultimately cutting to four cards.
At first, it looks like they've simply cut to four random cards. But then the mystery starts to unfold.
Each card matches the casino name printed on one of the poker chips. The Ace of Spades is next to a $1 chip from the Black Aster Casino. The Five of Diamonds is next to a $5 chip from the Five Points Royale, and so on.
Then you turn the chips over.
Printed on the back of each chip is the exact card they cut to.
And there's still one final chip.
It's from the Desert Oasis Casino, but the back is completely blank.
You reveal that every other card in the deck is blank as well with the only printed cards being the four cards your spectators freely cut to.
The kicker? You finish completely clean. There are no trick cards, no sleight of hand, and no deck switch.
John Guastaferro teamed up with Vanishing Inc. to create a premium performance experience from start to finish. You'll receive a specially printed deck, a leather coin wallet, and five high-quality, custom-designed poker chips. Each chip features a fictional casino on one side and its corresponding playing card on the other.
You'll also receive full video instruction from John, teaching you everything you need to know to learn and perform the routine.
Bets in Show is an incredibly strong closer that puts the magic in the spectators' hands while keeping the method simple and the ending completely clean.
If you're looking for a routine that is easy to perform, highly visual, and packs a serious punch, Bets in Show is a bet worth taking.
