Double Vision by Steve Gore

A Visual Shock That Hits Every Time
Double Vision is one of those rare effects that earns a permanent spot in a professional magician’s working set and for good reason. Visual, powerful, and endlessly repeatable, this routine has been used by magicians for over two decades to generate jaw-dropping reactions time after time.
With Double Vision, two spectators are invited into a surreal experience involving two imaginary decks one red, one blue. What follows is a moment straight out of science fiction.
A participant chooses a color, say blue, and imagines removing the deck from its box, shuffling, and selecting any card. The second participant takes the remaining deck, spreads the cards, and is asked to insert the imagined, face-up selection anywhere within. All of this happens in their minds... or so they think.
Suddenly, the impossible happens.
The magician catches an invisible deck mid-air—and a real deck instantly appears in their hand. Then, just as an afterthought, the magician requests the invisible card box. With a flick and a toss, the box visually appears around the deck in real time. It’s an eye-popping moment that has to be seen to be believed.
Why Performers Love It:
-
Instantly repeatable
-
Packs small, plays HUGE
-
Perfect for close-up, parlor, or even virtual shows
-
Includes multiple routine options: solo, twin invisible deck, visual opener, or kicker ending
-
No sleight-of-hand required for the visual box production
Whether used as a surreal opener or a powerful closer, Double Vision leaves spectators stunned and ensures the performer is remembered long after the show is over.
