An Impossible Connection

Two spectators each sign a card. Both cards are openly torn in half with no switches, no doubt, no way back. The pieces are placed directly into their hands and then the impossible happens.

With a moment of magic, the torn halves restore themselves. But not to their original cards. Instead, each restored card now combines one half from each spectator making a perfect fusion of their signed pieces.
